This massive sunshine yellow machine – a Palfinger P570 – has just been delivered by our Sales Manager Jørn Sigvard and Technical Manager Bjarne B. Jensen to City Lift in Taastrup, Denmark. From here it can be hired out to work at height: specifically up to 57 metres – that’s about the height of a 20 story building!
The platform is mounted on a Volvo FM-460 chassis, and in Danilift’s production workshop, we have prepared the unit, equipping it with some Danilift options that make the platform even more efficient and comfortable to operate.
On the back of the vehicle, we have mounted a hoisting mechanism for the spreader plates, and in the cage, heating has been installed in the floor and around the control panel, so the operator’s feet and hands won't get cold in chilly weather – an option that is specially developed by Danilift. The unit has also been fitted with a hydraulic generator and the ability to operate its outriggers remotely, and we have built custom cabinets onto the unit for materials storage and installed a load of work lights.
The characteristic yellow City Lift color is not easily overlooked – a very nice-looking unit, if we do say so ourselves! And the impressive 41 metres outreach on the lift was of course taken out for a test on the sunny day when Jørn and Bjarne delivered it.
Friday afternoon, the platform went on its first work task which took place in royal surroundings – at the residence of the Danish royal family, Amalienborg Palace. The impressive working height and outreach are really done justice against this outstanding backdrop.
In other news, last week two of our Danilift colleagues took a trip to Germany where they visited a customer in a rather special and unusual location. Unfortunately, we can't reveal too much at this time, but we are excited to share much more about this in the near future. Stay tuned, we promise you it will be exciting!
